Tucked high in the mountains near the Jimaní-Malpasse border crossing is an ecological campground that caters to birdwatchers. Although this part of the border is very dry and barren, the mountains are lush and green.

The camp itself is located in the town of Puerto Escondido

The camp has both tents and basic screened rooms as well as showers and toilets. Kate can either arrange to have your meals cooked for you or you can bring your own food. It is a wonderful way to experience a very special part of the borderlands.
